Title / Our Textile Finishing Can Become Anything You Ever Imagine, Print Ad
Client / Thanapaisal, Textile Finisher
Year / April 2008
These are some designs for Thanapaisal; our favorite client of all time, as he always encourages us to be creative and have fun with the design. (I believe there are not many factories that allow designer to not put a single photo of their machines in the ad.)
Thanapaisal has been in dyeing and finishing business for almost 100 years so he sure is a professional on what he is doing. One interesting point that we caught up during our conversation is that Thanpaisal has dyed & finished almost every kind of textile product — clothing, home textile, accessories or even fabric that are used in automobile and plane! And at the moment he has develop different kind of finishing that’s truly unbelievable — water-proof, fire-proof, bacteria and fungus -proof (?), uv-protection, for instance. Ok this is like a magician that can turn normal fabric into a special one, we thought.
These designs are what we came up with, thanks to Parn and Punch for beautiful artworks.

Title / Layout Design (Guideline & Templates)
Client / Colourway, Magazine of ATDP
focusing on textile technology and textile innovation
Year / February 2008
—————————————————————————————————
Colourway is a textile magazine that has been around for almost 13 years,
we’ve been given the opportunity to do the re-imaging
of the whole magazine since the beginning of 2008.
For a while Colourway has been recognized as a serious book of
research and information written by a group of senior professors
and textile professionals. At first, the intense contents was mistaken as a problem,
but we think this fact is what makes it different than other textile magazine.
Along the working process we also found out that most of
the professors & writers of Colourway are very open,
the kind of people that wants to share good things that he/she have
to Thai textile society.
Only one problem we have here is that the old-fashion look of the book
make it even harder to understand full loads of information,
and didn’t make new readers bother to take a look at what’s good
underneath the dull cover.
After many discussions & meetings with the client,
we start to create a new context for Colourway
from a serious, intense and boring
to become a magazine that is friendly, smart and straightforward.
And the new design above comes afterwards.
Title / Bright Future, Textbook Design
Client / Boston Bright English Institute
Date / July 2008
Can you design 14 textbooks within 3 weeks?
We did said yes and this is what we came up with, a 14 levels textbook with different shades of cheerful colors, every level has its own theme. It was a great experience, even though each of us almost becomes color-blind during the design process.
Title / Artistic Exprtession of Textile, Print Advertising
Client / Porjai Thai Printer Co., Ltd., textile printing company
Date / April 2008
We get this advertising concept soon after a conversation with khun Nopadol Piamkulawanich, the managing director of Porjai Thai Printer. PTP has a professional design team doing variety of textile design, which mostly is exported to Africa. These beautiful designs of PTP became so popular among ladies of Africa, to the point that once it almost causes chaos, from the demand of people who want to be the first to own the new collection of this fabric.
That’s how we realize that a good textile printing can turn a piece of fabric into a work of art.
